sure, definitely a clear cut case of child neglect...if you were in court over this you would so totally lose. as my eighth graders used to say "PUH-LEASE!" i think you should've used the race car lunchbox to give church lady a knot on her head. ha thanks for a great post!

I must tell my side of the story. The lady went way out of her way to tell me that she really wished Tessa had come to pick Chi up so that she could tell her this. She also told me in the sweetest voice possible. I don't think that using a sweet voice makes unnecessary condescension any more justified. As if Tess came in to make sure that Chi cried. She came in so that she could be sure that Chi got snack and didn't watch the other kids eat.
I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt but my first reaction (which I didn't do) was to say "Oh, I'm so sorry you had to hear him cry. I'll be sure to spank him as soon as I get home and I'll crack Tess in the mouth. Thank you, I'm really glad you told me this."
